BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (June 6, 2017) – Bay Area musicians Nell Robinson & Jim Nunally Band have numerous reasons to celebrate in their hometown this week.
Their new album, Baby Let’s Take the Long Way Home, debuted on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart. Nunally is a two-time IBMA Award-winning guitarist who participated in the Grammy-winning collection, True Life Blues: The Songs of Bill Monroe.
Robinson is a former nonprofit executive who is now pursuing her dream career in music and songwriting. The band’s new music will be spotlighted in the PBS series Music Gone Public. The episode will have its national premiere on KIXE on June 8, followed by airings throughout the U.S. later this year.

Nell Robinson & Jim Nunally Band will host two album release parties with back-to-back appearances at Aurora Theatre Company in Berkeley on June 10-11. Later this month, they will travel to Nashville, where Nunally will be a featured instrumentalist inside the rotunda of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The band’s newest video for the album’s title track premiered on No Depression.
